about

With infectious grooves and playfully composed songs, the St. John’s based band Carlyle offers listeners a danceable blend of pop-rock and funk with an uncompromising musicality second to none. On stage or in studio, their energy is undeniably present in everything they do.

Carlyle is the crossroads of front-man Jake Earle’s charismatic song-writing, Daniel George’s masterful execution, and Brian Knee’s colorfully knit guitar work, which altogether paints a wonderfully unique and exciting musical experience. Blending influences, their music has a retrospective throw back of classic funk and R&B records with a forward thinking modern twist that continually pushes musical boundaries.

Just on the dawn of their debut release “Seaweed” the band has already built itself a reputation as a forced to be reckoned with. With a long list of legendary shows and career highlights, Carlyle has built explosive momentum ensuring their spot as one of the provinces hardest working bands and most promising young talents.
